Visit Château Bel-Air la Royère: behind the scenes of our profession
Your host:

Château Bel-Air La Royère is a 14-hectare property located in Gironde on the commune of Cars in the Blayais on a limestone clay soil.
It was in 1992 that the Chevrier family, already the fourth generation of winemakers, fell in love with this former girondine property. After great efforts to modernize the vineyard, the result is there: the estate produces wines racy, supple, silky and becomes a reference on the appellation Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux.
Corinne Chevrier, always in search of originality and perfection, showcases the Malbec grape variety by creating amazing Merlot-Malbec blends. Malbec (or Côt), an ancient Bordeaux grape variety, has regained its former credentials and is also found in prestigious appellations such as Pomerol.
In 2016, Château Bel-Air La Royère signed the Charter of Organic Agriculture after several years in reasoned cultivation. From the 2019 vintage, the AB label makes its debut on counter-labels to the delight of our loyal customers.
On the programme: Discovering the characteristics of bordeaux vineyards, learning the key points of winemaking in organic agriculture and introducing them to tasting.
