Genesis and presentation The idea of a craft micro-distillery sprouted in the minds of two malt-loving friends, Samuel Prades and Nicolas Délaizir in 2015. Samuel filed the articles of status in 2017, creating the Kentañ distillery. Self-taught, passionate and with a solid industrial experience in the development of high-tech processes, they are working at the beginning of 2018 to develop their production tool. After renovation and some modifications, the master piece, a 3HL Charentais still from 1903, takes place in the distillery alongside the brewing tanks. The Kentañ distillery is based in Tonquédec, not far from Lannion and joins some other "big" distilleries already well established in the Trégor. The proximity to the sea, the temperate climate and the influence of The Celtic culture make the north Breton coast an ideal region for the realization of a good whisky. We make a single malt (barley from organic and local Breton agriculture!) which is being aged in oak barrels since mid-2018 ... still a little patience because a whisky must remain a minimum of 3 years in barrels. We also distill apple brandy called "Lambig" in Breton and can work in distillation service for your alcohols (Beer, cider,...) See less
