History of the Tissot house of Nevy on seille: 1600 (the vault of the cellar is dated 1560) Claude Tissot married Claudine Chambard and lived in the house that today houses the eleventh generation of Tissot.Polyculturists until the First World War, the cellars existing at the time testify to a fairly important vine culture. At the end of the great war Joseph, husband of Marie-Louise champagnise, the first, the wines of the Jura, for a bourgeois clientele. The farm then abandons dairy cows to devote itself to vines and wine. Prisoner of war for five years, in 1945 Michel came to support his mother, Marie-Louise, widow, and developed considerably the trade. In 1948, Michel married Juliette Clavelin, daughter of a winemaker from Vernois. From their union were born Joseph (who took the name of his grandfather), Claudine, Jean-Pierre and Pascal. In 1968, flames ravaged the house, 40 bottles of mirabelle plum hidden since the war and the Missal of Marie-Louise were spared, but she died in the fire. Michel, then Joseph who did the champagnisation school in Avize, Jean-Pierre who did the beaune wine school, and Pascal who did a business school in Lyon continued to develop the family business. In 1991 Joseph and Pascal acquired the Brûlerie du Revermont, a distillation company that works in service provision for jurassian winegrowers.Today Jean-Pierre and his son Guillaume exploit the vineyards of the family estate. Pascal, Frédéric and Amandine lead the distillation and trade part of the Marie-Louise Tissot brand. CAVEAU Passing through our beautiful region, a visit to the vault is essential. A tasting of all our products will be offered by Marie-Christine, Pascal or their children from 6am to 8pm every day. (a phone call will allow us to prepare your visit 03/84/44/60/63 or 06/07/62/13/97). THE FAMILY VINEYARDSituated partly on the blue marls of the Chateau-Chalon appellation, the plots are at a place called "Sous Roche". In the village of Nevy sur Seille, the coasts of the Jura are harvested at the "Chapeau", at the "Plaignot", in "Champaux", at the "Angevré", in "Prelle". In Vernois, crémants come from the "Mouillères". The vines are conducted in reasoned struggle (we observe, we treat) and in respect of the environment (no insecticide). The soils are worked. The harvest is manual. THE HUT In 1930 Joseph Tissot built a vine hut, in order to recover water from the roof to sulphate, and house some equipment inside. A moment of history. Of all the air crossings, the one from Paris to New York seemed to be the most difficult to defeat, but also the most glorious for those who would achieve the feat. Many aviators had already tried the bet and many had lost their lives, such as the French Nungesser and Coli, who disappeared in 1927 aboard their "White Bird". The Atlantic had been defeated by Lindbergh in 1927, but the west-east route taken by the young American aviator was more favorable due to the winds. The first Paris-New York route will be attempted by experienced aviators, on an aircraft specialized in long-distance raids, the "Question Mark". Dieudonné Coste and Maurice Bellonte had carried out several major raids and their aircraft, the Breguet XIX "Question Mark" had been specially modified for this type of attempt.
