We are on the hill at about 200 m of altitude, where the influence of the sea on one side and that of the Gran Sasso d'Italia on the other, create an ideal microclimate for the development of the vine.
We are within the DOCG TERAMANE HILL, famous for the quality of its Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
The landscape is truly unique, you can see the snow on the peaks and the sea at its side, olive groves and vineyards as far as the eye can see.
Controguerra is wine, wine is Controguerra, an exclusive terroir made of natural virtuosity and a deep winemaking tradition. We have inherited this tradition from our family and we proudly preserve it, emphasizing its value and trying to promote it in the world.
The terroir is the basis of our production philosophy and our love of wine.
We naturally let the characteristics of our wines express themselves without refinement, we use vitrified concrete containers that, pushing the concept to the extreme, do not alter the organoleptic characteristics that result from the grape varieties we raise.

Their Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOCG are an ecstatic expression of the weight of nature and culture, the environment and gestures. Our reality has its roots in a family tradition of about 40 years, when our grandfather planted the vines on these beautiful hills overlooking the sea and mountains and gave birth to the current winery we inherited. We have taken this treasure to guard with pride and motivation, we enthusiastically keep the traditions by adding our vision and creativity. We produce wine in an artisanal way, without the help of any kind of sophistication.
