Description
For the 2nd edition of the Carles Music Festival, the Association Carles en Scène is pleased to welcome you to the Château de Carles for an exceptional concert. It is also an opportunity, for those who would like to, to discover the Château de Carles, its facilities, and to taste our two vintages: Château de Carles, traditional cru of the property, and Haut Carles, our prestigious vintage.
The Artists: Maciej Pikulski and Paul Gay, present at the 1st edition, will make the friendship to return for this second edition, to perform new pieces. They will be accompanied by two world-renowned artists: Melody Louledjian and Jason Bridges.
Our three singers, Mélody (soprano), Jason (tenor) and Paul (baritone-bass) will perform great arias, duets and trios from the lyrical repertoire. They will sing works from La Traviata and Rigoletto (Verdi), Faust and Romeo and Juliet (Gounod), Manon (Massenet), and many more...
Maciej, who accompanies them on the piano, will punctuate these opera arias with some excerpts from the great piano solo repertoire, including Liszt's Campanella and Rachmaninoff's Preludes.

On the side of the Mound of Fronsac, above the valley of the Isle and surrounded by 20 hectares of vineyards on hillsides, this fortified castle at the end of the 14th century takes its current appearance during the Renaissance two centuries later. Celebrated by Ronsard, he saw the brightest minds parade: Montaigne, La Boétie, Rousseau, and many others... 120 years ago, Senator Guillaume Chastenet de Castaing entered the scene. He was followed by his son Jacques, an illustrious historian of the Académie Française, and by his grandson Antoine. Since 1983, the family winegrower adventure has continued with the fourth generation, that of Constance and her husband Stéphane Droulers. In the same quest for uncompromising quality, respecting nature as closely as possible, and surrounded by the wise advice of Hubert de Bouärd, the two spouses produce, on the estate of this noble castle steeped in history, modern wines, balanced and respectful of the magic of the great historical terroir of Fronsac.
