Welcome to Pressac Castle!
Here, the remarkable geology combined with a microclimate promotes the blossoming of the vines.
The know-how of the teams, developed for a long time and constantly evolving,
helps guide and assist the vine as closely as possible to the characteristics
of this deeply original place.
All around the castle, the vineyard of some 41 hectares
brings together the three main types of terroirs of the appellation:
the limestone plateau, the clay-limestone hillside that surrounds the hill and the silty, clay-limestone hill foot,
equal parts on the property.
In an approach that listens to the specifics of nature, this rare diversity of soils
and exhibitions leads to a plural vine and a very finely adapted culture.
The Château de Pressac is the only Grand Cru Classified in Saint-Émilion to bring together six grape varieties today,
all perfectly implanted in the spaces that suit them:
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Noir de Pressac (Malbec) and Petit Verdot.
First, we invite you to visit the exterior of the Castle and its courtyard with a guide who will tell you the history of this building dating from the Middle Ages. Then we will take you to our cellars (barrel and barrel cellar). Here we will show you the steps of winemaking, from harvest to blending.
The special feature of this private tour is that you are alone with our guide during the visit.
The Château de Pressac has been awarded
a Best Of Silver Tourism (2006) in the category "Parks, Gardens and Landscapes"
a Best Of Tourism Gold (2007) for its architecture
and a Best Of Wine (2014) in the "Architecture and Landscapes" category.

The tasting here is private and includes 4 wines tasted blind with small salted accompaniments.

Price: package of 75 euros from 1 to 3 people. Then 25 euros/pers from 4 people.
Sanitary measures are strictly applied for the protection of all: hydroalcoholic gel to be applied at the entrance and exit of each room, small groups of small size, wearing the mandatory mask, individual and distanced tasting stations.

Perched on the Saint-Émilion plateau, the Château de Pressac has overlooked the valley for more than 6 centuries. Cited in the History of France, Cited by historians, the Château de Pressac, fortified on numerous occasions and having presented up to 27 towers, hosted the surrender of the Battle of Castillon which put an end to the Hundred Years War. We took over this estate in 997 and began major restructuring work on the cellar and the vineyard in order to allow our extraordinary Saint Emilion terroir, classified as a Grand Cru, to deliver the best of itself.
