Description

It is possible to discover the cultural richness of a country through its gastronomy and its flavors. And when we have a vegetable garden on site, then it becomes obligatory to offer those who visit us an experience around the regional housings. Discover the seasonal vegetables, pick with your own hands what will be immediately prepared and tasted, understand the virtues of each of the varieties planted, place on his worktop a basket full of colors, and of course, have fun while cooking!
In this workshop, we take you to discover Portugal through its gastronomy, with a special attention to the cuisine of the Alentejo, while tasting the best wines from our Fitapreta estate.
A sensory experience that combines wines and dishes, always harmonized by good humour!

Located a few kilometres from the beautiful city of Évora, a UNESCO heritage site and the capital of the Alentejo, a visit to the Fitapreta Estate is a must. For the quality of the wines of course, but also for the whole history of heritage. We want the experiences we offer to reflect our way of life. We have several types of tastings, lunches on site or workshops around wine and gastronomy. Fitapreta was voted the best Portuguese producer by the "Revista dos Vinhos" and its founder and winemaker, Antonio Maçanita, was voted the best winemaker of the year in 2018. The wine tourism experiments take place here between the modern architecture of the winery, entirely covered with cork plates, and the medieval castle of the Morgado de Oliveira. (14th century) With the city of Évora as a backdrop, the visit of our Domain focuses on the history and passion of our team to produce wine. Passion for the terroir, for almost extinct grape varieties, for vineyards dotted with cork oaks, for local gastronomy and for everything that makes us live life as a feast that we celebrate day after day! Come and discover our wine heritage with our team, in joy and good humour, just like the Maçanitas! See less
