The Bodega Gutierrez Colosia uses an architectural style known as "Nef Cathedral" for its large aging cellars. This type of building uses high-rise structures and multiple arches that expose wines to the region's unique climate. In the cellar, Sherry is produced with regular fermentation, low fortification, then the wines enter the Solers system.The cherry wines are a wonderful tradition of the Andalusia region that reflects the character and history of the region. This style of fortified wines is an acquired taste, but we invite you to discover the beautiful range of wines of Sherry de la Bodega Gutierrez Colosia made from Palomino, Moscatel and PX grapes.

Bodega Gutierrez Colosia - a quality Andalusian winery since 1838 The Bodega Gutierrez Colosia has been located on the guadalete River in Cadiz Bay since 1838. The cellar has a long history and tradition. The first cellar of the Bodega Gutierrez Colosia was created in 1838 and still exists today in a similar way. At the beginning of the 20th century, Mr. Jose Gutierrez Dosal, the grandfather of the Gutierrez Colosia family, bought the winery. The wet winds of Poniente and the dry winds of Levante keep the humidity in balance to maintain the best wine production conditions in this region. The production of wines at the Bodega Gutierrez Colosia is carried out according to the traditional method of the Solera system. Location near Guadalete River contributes to Fino Sherry's biological aging The production of Sherry at the Bodega Gutierrez Colosia uses the traditional system of criaderas and soleras that guarantees the high quality of the wines. The location along the Guadalete River contributes to the biological aging of their Fino Sherry and to the formation of a good layer of yeast on the surface of the wine called ""flor"."
