Description
The visit of the Château des Vaults is a real initiatory walk during which you can enjoy the nature and unique landscapes offered by the Savennières region.
Our visit "l'Escapade" invites you to walk in the park and the vineyard accompanied by a guide who will make you discover the history of the Château des Vaults, created around 1820 which passed into the hands of characters of the upper bourgeoisie of Angers, then of the prestigious family of Nantes shipowners: the Walsh, Count of Serrant. Later, in the 19th century, the family of Emmanuel de Las Cases, napoleon's biographer, inherited the estate. Since that day, the Château des Vaults and its vineyards are managed by the descendants of the Las Cases.
Beyond the great history of these places, you will discover our terroir, the particular philosophy that leads us to the making of our wines (Certified Demeter in Biodynamics), the way in which we cultivate the vine as well as biodiversity.
Finally, we will offer you a commented tasting of 5 of our wines in the privacy of one of the private lounges of the castle.
