Description
The exceptional vineyard of the Serrant Flow was planted more than 9 centuries ago. It stretches on the edge of a cliff allowing for a direct view of the Loire. The nature of the place and the quality of its exhibition have allowed it to stand out for centuries. In addition, the property is a place steeped in history, where one can walk and observe the ancient monastery and the ruins of the fortress of the Rock in the Monks.
Restored by Denise Joly in the 1960s, the estate was taken over by her son Nicolas. Today, the daughter of Nicolas Joly, Virginie takes care of the estate and will be delighted to be able to welcome you there for a presentation of our vineyard.
We will explain our historical approach to biodynamics, the work done in the vineyard, then the one done to the winemaking to finish by the breeding of the wines.
Finally, we will offer you a tasting of some of our vintages on the three appellations produced:
- Serrant's casting: a peculiarity of being a name produced by a single domain (monopoly).
- The closed of the Bergerie: appellation Savennières-Roche aux Moines
- "Les VIEUX CLOS," appellation Savennières
We look forward to welcoming you to the estate very soon!
