Description
Our company based in the Czech Republic, called Redstone Real Estate a.s. acquired, in July 2019, the château Escot winery.
Our intention is not only to carry out the renovation of the castle and the park but also to rebuild the cellars and modernize the technical equipment. This work will be done in perfect balance with the existing situation and with the greatest respect for tradition.
Increasing the area of the vineyard, as well as replacing old, non-productive vines, are part of this vast programme.
Continuing to produce a wine of excellence and adding new vintages in the future is our strategy. We intend to achieve this by using state-of-the-art technologies, by carrying out a parcel selection.
We would be delighted to welcome you to make you discover the estate and its history and the work done to develop our wine!
Looking forward to seeing you again

The current site of Château Escot has been developed since the Gallo-Roman period. Its good soil and the presence of a spring explain the attraction of men to this corner of the Médoc. Archaeological excavations have uncovered memorabilia from the Bronze Age dating back to 1500 BC as well as memorabilia from more recent times. We can evoke the flint scraper, the old coins struck by the Romans or in times of the Middle Ages, of the Empire ... All of this testifies to the long and rich history of the site. Even the name ESCOT has its origin in the Middle Ages. The estate, in those days, housed one of the region’s notables: the tax collector. “Escots” as we used to say. This function has not existed for a long time, but Château ESCOT is still proud of it today. See less
