Languedoc wine estate on Les Terrasses du Larzac The Domaine du Mas de l'Écriture is located in the south of France, north of Montpellier, near the village of Jonquières. This particular location allows us to specialize in the great languedoc wine and to be at the heart of the appellation contrôlée "Les Terrasses du Larzac". This terroir and this AOC are located between the Mediterranean and the Larzac plateau and are unique for our Languedoc wine. In this region, the average daily sunshine rate is 7:30 am, which is well above the national average of 4:30 am. The clay-limestone soil is slightly windy by tramontane and mistral which allows us to grow an organic red wine unique in the world. An organic wine from Languedoc Our Languedoc wine, located in the beautiful Hérault region, was born from a natural respect for the vine. It was in 2009 that we made the decision to pass the entire domain of the Mas de l'Écriture in Bio. Since then, the wines of the Mas de l'Écriture are all certified Organic by ECOCERT, as of January 1, 2012. We differentiate ourselves by a work of the vine with care and love. We harvest our Larzac wine by hand, plot by plot and grape variety by grape variety. Our harvest rate is about 25 hl/ha depending on the year, because we advocate quality to quantity. We take great care of our larzac vines in order to obtain the best possible grapes.
