In 1882, Malka and Michael Khmiletzky first set foot on the land of Zichron Yaacov after arriving from Lithuania in the first wave of immigration to Israel. They were chosen by Baron Edmund de Rothschild, to plant and cultivate vineyards in the area. From that day began the harmony and deep connection between the family members and the land and the vineyard. In 1925, the family hosted the poet Haim Nachman Bialik, and thanks to the warm hospitality, the poet offered them the name "Tishbi" - a resident of Shfeya in Eretz Israel. Since then for 4 generations the family has continued to grow grapes and sell them to Carmel Mizrahi Winery. In 1985, Yonatan Tishbi decided to retire from the "Carmel Mizrahi" cooperative and open his own small winery. The fourth generation of wine grape growers has decided to become a wine producer. He named the winery after Baron Rothschild "The Baron Wineries" which eventually changed to "Tishbi Wineries", a name that emphasizes being a family winery. Golan, Oshra and Micha are the fifth generation of the family all
