The Marchese delle Saline house was born in the Trapani region with ancient roots dating back to 1860. From generation to generation, the passion, the preparation and the love to do things with the heart have been passed down from father to son over the years until today. During these years, great-grandfather Francesco Rallo, when he was not busy working in the vineyard, collected salt in the salt marshes of Marsala during the summer season. Being very zealous and productive, the grandfather Francesco loved the taste of things well done for this reason they gave him the nickname of "Marchese". His history and his love for the salt marshes led his grandchildren, years later, to honor the memory of their grandfather by giving the company the name of “Marchese delle Saline”.
