Visit Agelakis Winery
Your host:
Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the family vineyard of the Aggelakis is located in Thrapsano Pediados, a village identified with the art of pottery since antiquity. This identification is supported by the existence of some ceramic crumbs, called "thripsala" or "thrapsala", which gave their name to the village. Thrapsano's long-standing relationship with pottery and grape cultivation has inspired us to revive an ancient tradition by having part of the fermentation and maturation of wine in clay vessels. As a result, the original fruit “returns” to the soil, where it originally came from.
