Visit and tastings of Chateau Escot
Your host:

The current site of Château Escot has been developed since the Gallo-Roman period. Its good soil and the presence of a spring explain the attraction of men to this corner of the Médoc. Archaeological excavations have uncovered memorabilia from the Bronze Age dating back to 1500 BC as well as memorabilia from more recent times. We can evoke the flint scraper, the old coins struck by the Romans or in times of the Middle Ages, of the Empire ... All of this testifies to the long and rich history of the site. Even the name ESCOT has its origin in the Middle Ages. The estate, in those days, housed one of the region’s notables: the tax collector. “Escots” as we used to say. This function has not existed for a long time, but Château ESCOT is still proud of it today.
