Bodegas Calvente Winery enjoys a very suitable location as its high altitude gives their vineyards a continental microclimate with a strong maritime influence. The vines are embedded in hillsides of clay-limestone soils, with steep hills and low production per hectare. The age of some vineyards in Bodegas Calvente Winery varies between 20 and 90 years, which gives a lot of depth and richness to the wines produced. Grapes grown in the cellar include Moscatel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah For 20 years, the Bodegas Calvente winery has been producing fine wines. With the utmost respect for Mother Nature, the owner cultivates a wide range of vines. This includes Moscatel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah first class, combined with fruity merlot, verdot, tempranillo and chardonnay. The vines are between 50 and 90 years old, and some younger vines are between 20 and 40 years old, which gives a lot of depth and richness to the wines produced. Bodegas Calvente Winery produces excellent red and white wines, accompanied by high quality rosé and sparkling wines, all under the status of Granada DO.
