Les Riceys
User profile description

THE HOUSE ─ The Champagne Taisne Riocour is first and foremost a tribute to our parents Angelito de Taisne and Claude de Riocour who revived the family vineyard established in 1837. It is the expression of a certain French way of life, of character and elegance. Beyond our parents and grandparents, Ricey Bas Castle and its park are also a source of inspiration. This is where Amicie, Charles, Pierre, Jacques and Marie-Hélène grew up; now owned by Charles and his family. A place where the excellence of the work of builders over the centuries and the talent of landscapers and gardeners are expressed. Some family figures and places also inspire us in the making of our vintages: The 35 grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Angelito and Claude de Taisne, here Theophile (1), Angelo de Taisne and his younger brother (2) at riceys, the recklessness of Jacques Balsan (3), the refinement of his wife Consuelo Vanderbilt (4), the peony (5), both robust and delicate. But also the festive spirit of Etienne de Beaumont (6) and Edith de Taisne, his wife during the Roaring Twenties, Solange de Riocour (7) and his friend Lilly Bollinger, the generosity and panache of Etienne Balsan (8), here with Coco Chanel, the vineyard and the riceys terroir (9). The Tree with Three Crescents and the Star is a combination of the coat of arms of the Taisne and Riocour families. Our vintages are marked by the alliance of Heaven and Earth, by elegance, audacity and vivacity. Every sip delights the heart and lifts the spirit. Pierre de Taisne, Amicie de Guigné, Marie-Hélène de Touzalin, Jacques de Taisne and Charles de Taisne
