Vineyard of the Old World... is a small family winery. Using grapes from our century-old, sustainable and organic vineyards, we create "natural wines" that reflect our family history and traditional (old world) winemaking practices in Sonoma County. The winemaker and pastoral owner, Darek Trowbridge, has over 20 years of hands-on experience in the art and science of vineyard management, grape production and natural winemaking. His passion is to invite nature in his winemaking. Its processes are simple and straightforward and eliminate the need for manufactured (man-made) chemicals. This process involves effort and the shepherd, but not manipulation.
