Philippe Austruy, an important player in the health sector, is also a lover of wine, a world in which he is not a novice: For 15 years he has been at the head of the Commanderie de Peyrassol, a Provençal flagship to which he has brilliantly restored all his credentials. In search of a Bordeaux vintage, he set his sights on Château Malescasse, whose potential has not escaped him: in the space of 3 years, the winery is completely renovated, the vineyard, restructured in depth and the ravishing renovated chartreuse has even regained its original slate roof. Today, Château Malescasse is one of the most demanding areas of the Haut-Médoc, earning the exceptional mention of the Cru Bourgeois classification.
