The history of the Château Bas begins in the 14th century. As a result of the Hundred Years War, the castle of Aumelas of the 12th century suffered very great damage, partly plundered by idle bands, and left to the vagaries of the weather. It becomes uninhabitable at the rebirth. Because of this lack of comfort, in 1595 the Sieur Bonnet, owner of the premises, chose to settle in Château Bas. Today, Jean-philippe and Geoffroy d'ALBENAS have given back the animation of yesteryear to the estate by reconnecting with its wine-making activity. They highlight the castle and its French garden by renting it for seminars and weddings.
