The estate has existed for more than 400 years and was from the beginning a closerie. Today it has about ten hectares, a reasonable size to allow to work meticulously each plot. Located in the centre of the Loire Valley, the Clos du Porteau is located along the Cher, a tributary of the Loire. The climate is mild and conducive to the development of the vine, in fact, since the passage of the Romans, the vineyard continues to prosper around exceptional appellations.
